Charles Legacy Names

The picture below is a pretty old one and little known to our family, Lucy Milbourne was married to Charles Milbourne and after his death in 1923, she remarried. It was her grandson who I made contact with several years ago on the internet where we shared info. He happened to be a writer for a paper in Illinois and he was able to send me copies of the original articles written about Charlie's murder. Lucy's daughter's name was Marilyn who had a son name Charles Stanley (another Charles, possibly after his granddad), he lived in Palos Heights, Illinois when we were in contact. It's interesting to note that little Marilyn was with her father when he was shot. It's important to share because the name goes back pretty far. Charles was also the name of Charles Earl (Lucy's husband) who was likely named for Charles, his Uncle, his father Jonas's brother who died at 18 years old. So, the habit of naming sons in the Milbourne family "Charles" goes back from the mid 1800's all the way to present day for our young "Chas" Milbourne of Arizona, son of Kathryn, my sister.
